Rolling Out Some Factorials
Topic Index | Algebra Index | Regents Exam Prep Center

As a quick review of factorials, or a wrap up to class, have students roll two dice to obtain their "factorial" numbers.  If you want all students to have the same answers, roll the dice in front of the class to obtain the numbers (or have a student volunteer roll the dice.)

These values are to be computed in whatever equations, or expressions, you deem appropriate.

For example:

p = value from first die
q = value from second die

Possible Computations:

Answer = p! + q!

Answer = ( p! + q! )!

Answer = 3(p!) • 4(q!) - q

Answer = pq! + (pq)!
