This activity uses isometric dot paper.
Questions similar to the example below will expose
students to working with dot paper, dilations, and solids.

1. On the isometric dot
paper, draw another solid whose dimensions have been
dilated by a scale factor of 2.
2. On the isometric dot paper, draw another solid
whose dimensions have been dilated by a scale factor of
1/2. NOTE: You may
wish to establish a point on the paper to act as the
center of the dilation and ask students to draw the rays
which act upon the dilation. |
